Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions people ask most about working with Velocity Code Studio.
Velocity Code Studio is an independent software studio. I design and build mobile apps, PC software and websites, and I help businesses with consultation and rapid prototyping using AI.
You work directly with me, Chris Mitchell, the founder. I am a consultant and a project and delivery manager, so the same person who plans your project also sees it through to delivery.
We start with a conversation about your goals, budget and timeline. I look at what you already have, whether that is a website, an app or a way of working, and give you a clear, prioritised list of next steps. More about consultations.
AI tools make it possible to turn an idea into a working, clickable prototype far faster than traditional development. You and your users can try it, give feedback and refine it before committing to a full build. More about prototyping.
It depends on the size and complexity of the idea. Prototypes that once cost around £50,000 can now start from around £5,000. Get in touch with a short description of what you have in mind and I will give you a clearer idea.
Most prototypes take days or weeks rather than months. Larger projects are planned in stages, so you can see progress early and decide what comes next.
